Hong Kong in Pictures

Max Serjeant

Hong Kong is a place of contrasts. It is known as the place where east meets west thanks to its British history and Chinese location, however it is also the place where skyscraper filled banking districts meet run down warrens of apartment buildings and bustling city meets beautiful rural scenery – complete with mountains, beaches, islands and villages. Here you can see the buildings of modern, high-end western brands being worked on with bamboo scaffolding, or visit a whole shopping mall dedicated to Armani, a Buddhist temple, and hike to traditional fishing villages built on stilts all in one day.
